Mum carries a picnic basket and has an almost matching colour top to her daughter and the boy rushes down, bucket and spade in hand and his beloved Newcastle Football Club top on. Dad is of course just pleased to have day off work!

If you ever visit Whitley Bay its only 10 miles from Newcastle proper and has 2 notable attractions: the 'Spanish City' and 'St Mary’s Lighthouse,’ apart from the arcades, ice-cream and fish and chips of course!
