David Attenborough is an English TV presenter and documentary film maker and has been a stalwart on British television since ‘Zoo Quest’ way back in 1954! He shows no signs of slowing down, with his love of wildlife conservation and the natural world giving him unlimited enthusiasm.

With so many remarkable documentaries it would take a long time to list every series and programme but ones that spring to mind are the Plant Earth and the Blue Planet I & II series. They really pushed the boundaries of filming and capturing animals in their natural habitats & raised the bar significantly for such documentaries.

He also ascended the ranks within television and a little known fact is that he was the controller of BBC2 for five years in the 1960s. His late brother Richard Attenborough was a famous film director and actor, and younger fans will likely remember him as Dr. John Hammond in the first two Jurassic Park films.
