Set to be in galleries in the later part of June, this is the fourth posthumous release from the Jack Vettriano estate, with demand for his work continuing to be high.

A man and woman are pictured on a sandy beach, deck chair and jacket in hand, as we wonder at the backstory unfolding in this latest limited Edition; perhaps the woman points (out of view) to a best location for the sunshine or out of view of prying eyes?

Jack has painted this scene more than once, and to those in the know a previous limited edition was released with the same name in 2021, featuring two woman and the single man.

There are other differences in this new release; this image is brighter and the colours command your attention: from the blue sky to the polka dot dress of the woman and the red and white stripe of the deck share, just seen at the bottom.

Jack Vettriano obviously liked this scene and returned to it at least twice, enjoying the mystery of the scene unfolding on his canvas!
