The 5th entry into Jack Vettriano’s (1951-2025) 'Posthumous Limited Edition Collection' but amazingly these are SIGNED by Jack, representing some of the few titles he pre-signed for later release.

Jack always had a fascination with people on beaches, and his world famous painting ‘The Singing Butler’ (1992) comes to mind! There is something that inspired the artist to paint such scenes, perhaps because it allowed him to create certain narratives for the viewer to enjoy.

‘Narcissistic Bathers’ shows a man and a woman looking down at their reflection in the shallows, as dusk begins to darken the sky. There is a certain narcissism about the scene but the other man seems nonchalant about what’s taking place, standing back to enjoy his cigarette.

I love the Jack’s use of a darker more muted colour palette, allowing Jack to capture the last rays of the evening light.

Thank fully his artistic legacy lives on in these high-quality editions, which are endorsed by his estate and certificated but surprising there are some unreleased editions he pre-signed, including this one!
