Michael Daniels is an emerging Dutch artist born in Gelderland, Netherlands in 1976.
His formal artistic study encompassed a wide range of disciplines including painting, pencil work, phototherapy & typography, before eventually training and working in graphic design. This is a usual first career for the artistically talented, perhaps 'safer' than trying to make it in the published art world!
After many years working in graphics, he became confident enough to branch out as an artist and created his first Pop Art themed pieces with great aplomb, and to much positive feedback.
Fellow Dutchman, artist & entrepreneur Ad van Hassel saw Michael's work and, highly impressed, offered to assist him recreate and distribute his artwork as limited editions, in novel contemporary designs.
So far, we have seen his 'Christmas Cracker' shape sculpture designs released to the UK market, an instant conversation starter in any home!
The artist's goal is to keep experimenting with both the art and design concepts of his work, enjoying the canvas and sculpture formats & paying homage to brands, people and icons from the past and present - including iconic Pop Artists of course!
