Mackenzie’s last cloud filled image was the popular nighttime limited edition: 'Starry, Starry Night'

The artist, known for both naive imagery and surreal artwork featuring giant smiley sheep. is equally adept at powerful and thought-provoking landscapes.

'Hope' is an evocative image of a gadgie looking out to sea as the sun’s rays bounce off the rocks during a storm, the light shining through the clouds creating an almost celestial feel. Thorpe reminds you that the storm always comes to an end, and the sun will reveal itself once again!

This edition like many of his recent ones, are hand finished with embellishments on the paper (in this case plenty of silver on the artwork!) that really give the limited edition an original feel.
