It's fast approaching that time of year again, November 15th 2019 sees the 40th rendition of the BBC's annual telethon 'Children In Need,' raising much needed funds for Childrens charity in Britain and overseas.

Pudsey has been associated as one of the faces of the Charity night since his creation in 1985, appearing in: marketing, lapel badges, hats, T-shirts, graphics on the night or people dressed up as giant Pudseys with buckets collecting cash!

It was exciting for Doug to should combine his artistic style with a portrait of a giant Pudsey and one of his human characters, this time dressed in the rare red clothes, for this beautiful artwork; deep red and gold paints make this painting of our two happy heroes, really stand out!

'Pudsey' becomes an addition to the hugely popular range of Doug's that feature plush cuddly toys, 'Bear Hugs II' (2014) is just one example.

The giant oversized teddy bear: 'Pudsey' is the mascot for the 'Children In Need' charity here in the UK and is instantly recognisable and associated with the good will of the British public, who continue to break records almost year on year with their generous donations.

Bringing to life Pudsey in a real, tangible and touchable way, this is a lovely tribute to the essential work done by the British charity 'Children In Need' - helping to improve the lives of British underprivileged and disabled children.

This and similar charities' good work is something very close to Doug Hyde's heart & he supports them. With every sculpture sold a contribution to the 'Children In Need' charity will be made.
