'I was born in 1974, with a pencil in my hand much to the discomfort of my mom! I spent my childhood in the Black Country and after training in graphic design I moved into the computer gaming (development) world. Fascination With Stand-Up
I'd always been fascinated by Stand-Up comedy, seeing it as an ‘artform’ on stage and making people laugh the ultimate in performance art for me: a person standing alone shares their ideas with the public who may or may not ‘go with’ them. I thought I'd give it a try and soon realised that this was for me but also that comedy is not all about the jokes – there is so much more to it!
There is no formula, there is timing, expressions, the routines and a comedy icon is a person who can understand all these things and still make it look effortless, and that's why I pay my tribute to the comedy heroes of the past and present in both my artworks.’
