I guess the 'artist thing "has always been in my blood as my grandfather was a painter of wildlife in South Africa and my father is a good landscape artist when it comes. I think I have always pointed out. I remember spending hours as a child in my room trying to copy images from the cards and other things that had captured my imagination; Or that I am really badly written poetry. I had a "creative mind" and is used to get me into trouble and embarrass my parents a pile, then no change!
He had no formal training as such, although I did spend a year at the School of Art in Winchester complete a course of the Foundation. This left me totally disillusioned; I did not need to go to art school to learn to speak for throwing a load of about painting, so that the left and got a 'good job'! I then spent years unfulfilled and the sense of frustration for me and for the time time went on the stronger has these feelings. Until finally, my partner convinced me to sign up for a life drawing class, and that was it ... The rest is history, as they say! I would like to find my Grail!
I am a person very methodical and so decided to spend the next few years learning my trade and equipping myself with the tools that are needed to express myself through my work. Through the method of trial and a lot of mistakes that I found my way to where I and my work are now. I am honored to be showing with the Belgravia Gallery in London and my drawings are hanging alongside those great masters like Rembrandt and Picasso.
I try not to analyze what I am drawing too as I prefer to work instinctively. I usually start each piece of a model life, it will be my first inspiration. Lighting is really important to me in my work. I like to use very strong directional light that creates mood and drama. I have an approach reduced receivables; I do not like things too much props or backgrounds. I want to focus more on the elegance and beauty of the feminine form. I always say "never my works are narratives; It merely moments, "and this can be said that truth through all the issues that I seek in my work.
The great beauty of a single line; The way the light plays with her hair; Feelings sent by his body language, in an unguarded moment. These are the things that inspire me over and over again. Sometimes a sense of peace or poverty, the millions of different emotions that shape human nature, each interests and inspires me.
