Friends have often commented that when I speak of my upbringing sounds idyllic, and I think it was. First, living in a small village in Buckinghamshire surrounded by fields and forests and with the greater freedom as a child could hope for (I doubt whether happen now) and then, secondly, moving to a small village in County Essex, a large slandered and beautiful country. I enrolled in a course in art and founded the same year, my mother took me to the Tate, that I had never been before in a gallery. I loved my foundation course; It's like being back in the game of the school that had so much fun!
My tutors suggested that should apply to Leicester for my career, because I was so shy and timid students had been accepted. I had a great time and has worked with many means and methods, including a series of installing a painting partially submerged under a canal bridge.
I then moved to Colchester. My first study was in a pig farm work, the second in an old apple barn from which you can see the sea. During this time I tried my hand at teaching. Not for me. I have set out and that a number of self-employment.
Then he took a full-time Masters in Birmingham. In the following years he exposed and also worked as muralista. I loved this work, traveling the length and breadth of the country, large paint murals for hotels, bars and nightclubs; Deadline one week painting classical figures, in the next, imaginary U.V. Landscapes. It is a kind of baptism of fire. One day came in a book with a gun and a compressor (10 + monitored by the builders), and not an idea of how to work. Needless to say I learned a lot during that time, including how to build and operate a scaffold scissor lifts.
The appeal of travel and B & B, which did not last long and missing home cooking too. Soon I began to work in partnership with a good friend. We have developed paints a committee and have to work on some really interesting projects for corporate offices and many of the major bars and chains. And the work was hard and we used to measure our workload by the number of 'degree shows' we had to complete before the end of the month. The largest painting that there was a huge 5 x 4 meters. I was almost four months pregnant at the time, after ascending to the scaffold tower to help install it. Since the birth of my daughter I have been working on a much smaller scale in a study at home.
