We welcome the artist simply goes by the name 'Naor' (the Hebrew language this means 'enlightened') to our portfolio of modern Pop Artists. His work is often displayed under the banner 'Naor - Interpreting The World' but let us look a little closer at the routes of this slogan.
Naor is actually a French native from Lyon and has extensively travelled; he has seen, heard and observed (good and bad) many things around the world, understanding people and how groups & organisations operate.
Once he turned 30 years old the artist felt he could accurately begin to translate his thoughts, understandings and feelings about the world into tangible art form.
Underpinned by a childish naivety, Naor's modern sculptures are able to show a curiosity of the world, its darkness and its light - this being the fundamental at play within his art.
His use of big brand and fashion house logo & icons, mixed with his unique version of Pop Art, allows him to either give tribute or rebuke certain ways of being within the world’s peoples (individuals) societies & structures.
Notwithstanding this, his sculptures and displays are beautiful eye catching pieces of art, usually taking the outline forms of Teddy Bears, Balloons or other recognisable forms such as Mickey Mouse. They encourage you to stop, stare and smile but Naor hopes they make you think too!
