Born in Epsom in 1973 and grew up in Worcester Park in a loving family consists of my English mother, father and older brother Pakistani.
Encouraged by my parents, especially my mother, started to draw at a very early age. My ability to lift came from my father. I always seek their approval of my work, and to this day the value of their knowledge and positive criticism.
In the school of art was my favorite subject, along with P.E. Therefore, he followed the natural route through to GCSE 'A' level at which I received a lot of encouragement from two splendid teachers, Mrs Robertson and Ms. Slack. I remember Mrs. Slack (an artist in his own right) shows a picture of me in order to inspire me when deciding on my final piece. The atmosphere and mood created the piece that had a very strong influence on all the work they produce up today.
I then went to do a course at Epsom Foundation School of Art and Design course of a large batch of experiments in all fields of art. This was followed by a course of Enlightenment in Northbrook College in Worthing that left much to be desired, however, living for two years as a student in Brighton more than made up for it. In college I was postponed when drawing my mentors told me it was not a good in itself, but I have marks on the top of my life drawing class. I have never doubted my ability, but in the challenge that promised not to call, I would rather learn about photography, and then become a maker of the film, when I felt that I would have the broadest possible audience.
In the summer of 1997, I have some experience working in the art department of 'The Avengers' feature. It is unpaid, but I stayed for six weeks and was fascinated by all aspects of film making. It was there that I saw performing art for the first time. These artists, usually only two of them, the whole of Trafalgar Square paint on canvas 700ft long and 40 feet high around the series. It is mind-blowing. I had to have a piece of that!
In 1999, I helped an artist, Steve Mitchell, a day in 102 Dalmations'. We have developed a good relationship and eventually became his assistant, working with him and, occasionally, other artists for the next five years in many big-budget films. What I have learned during this time with Steve was invaluable. I still call to pick his brain in any area I need advice.
The film industry is very fragile, that they have no way of knowing when or even if the next job will come, so that diciembre'03 my partner at the time encouraged me to get a studio. It was then that I started producing my own paintings. I have set out a couple of times and my work has a good answer.
In July 2005 I entered the New Artists competition at the NEC in Birmingham and won after they took a publishing deal with Washington Green ...... So here I am.
