Libby Lord started a teacher training course at the University of Wolverhampton, however after a car accident shefelt the need to reassess her life and he embarked on his career targets.
From a family of painters, Libby's early pieces of abstract art was semifinalist, pastel garden and marine scenes. Fascinated by color and texture, Libby enjoys freedom of collage using paper, paint, wire and metal for many dimensions of each image.
Inspiration is found in many sectors, but Mr Libby is heavily influenced by literature, and includes excerpts from some of her works. With topics such as fairy tales, time and the poetry of his artwork is always intriguing and full of fun, charm and feeling.
Initially Libby painted for family and friends, but as word spread began holding small local exhibitions. Working in special commissions, traveling around the country exhibiting at arts and crafts fairs and their obvious enjoyment in the production of each image encouraged Libby to embark on a career as a full-time, independent artist. Huge interest is now being shown in their work by the major publishing companies and their growing number of loyal collectors and appreciators.
