Artist Graham Milton was born in 1965 in London and has since become one of the UK's most successfully highest independent artists, whose work can be seen in public and private collections throughout Europe as well as the UK.
In 1997, Milton attained a distinction at Central Saint Martin's in London in an Art and Design Masters Degree. This saw the following success Milton obtained through his exhibitions and his work has been shown in Edinburgh in the Scottish National Gallery as well as London at the National Portrait Gallery. His career as an independent artist soared and his works continue to have great success.
Influenced by the likes of Rothko and Turner, Milton captures various visions of the sky which is ever changing. The dramatic affect it has on us humans is remarkable and this can affect a mood, an atmosphere or senses we depict as humans. The dramatic approach to his paintings reflects the changes in the skies.
Milton has been for two years in a row, the finalist for the BP portrait award and this is down to the visually stunning palate of oil paints he uses. His studio is based in Sussex and works through the entire day finishing at night, so as not to lose the momentum of his style.
