Ever since I can remember I have always wanted to paint. At school I spent much of my free time in the art room. Once in the sixth form that is advised to do a foundation course in Newcastle-Under-Lyme, where he was awarded a distinction, along with the Arts Award. I was very lucky and had a wonderful mentor who encouraged and gave me the confidence to pursue life as an artist fine. I was taught to experiment freely with an approach without restrictions. I continued my education at the University of Loughborough, where he became interested in the study of landscape and developed a taste for travel when I spent six months of my career studying at the University of Granada in Spain. When I graduated I sold my degree show 'Welcome Break Hotels', that gave me the momentum I needed to continue painting as a career.
Since 1998 I have been based in Bristol, in my heart of the city where I study have experienced significantly through abstraction to figuration and collage that includes computer circuits sticking in my painting. All this has contributed to the understanding that I feel now that I have achieved in my work today.
My paintings are mostly abstract, but my new work contains references to the landscape. My partner is also an artist and spend so much time investigating the matter through our trip and therefore be self-employed, we find that we can be more flexible with our time. I have a lot of my inspiration during these periods and spend most of my time drawing, even though they rarely use this information to be translated literally in the paint. My job is not to call the reference to a particular place.
