Chris enjoyed & successful career as an illustrator having graduated from the famous Leicester School Of Art, a centrum for East Midland’s art academia (now De Montfort University) in 1979.
Later he decided to shift focus to Fine Art and later still to the UK Gallery market, as he began painting his 'Gallery Series' of people looking at the Old Masters in 2009. In that sense Chris has had a dual career with his talent also being formally recognised by the art world, having appeared in the Royal Academy Of Arts summer exhibition in 2000, 2001 & 2012.

Having sold his originals nearly two decades, I would say his LS Lowry tribute paintings really put him on the map as a contemporary humorous artist.
Full of good cheer and tongue-in-cheek humour, Chris gets tremendous enjoyment from both recreating old masters and the different jokes at the heart of each painting.
Recently his long standing publisher has released a range of limited editions featuring the ‘Gallery Series’ and these are affordable, usually small editions of just 35 pieces.
He now resides in the seaside town of Bournemouth, after leaving the bright lights of London and is a keen outdoorsman, enjoying water sports, biking and even windsurfing! He is also a dog lover and keeps border collies!
Chris’s more recent work are abstract paintings and experimentation with acrylic using various finishes; did you know he paints these without brushes? and this allows a much looser style and a more confident use of paints.
