12th August 2020 sees a welcome new landscape limited edition release from Paul with the amazing: 'Depth Of Autumn.' Incredibly Photorealistic - much like the art of fellow wildlife & landscape artist Steven Townsend - you have to be reminded that these prints are taken from an Original Painting and are not a photo!
The 14th March 2020 will see the first unveiling of two brand new editions at a special launch night and rumour has it they will be of the Quacky variety! we can't wait.
We are excitedly awaiting Paul's latest limited edition release called: 'Spotted,' a painting of a leopard and due for release on 30th November 2019.
**Paul interviewed (2013) before a Gallery 'Artist appearance' in Kent, England, playing the Piano and talking us through some of his artwork:
Undoubtedly Paul is one of the UK’s premier painters of contemporary animal & wildlife art and has been one of the brightest stars in galleries for over three decades.
His artwork is fresh, sometimes quirky, often comedic and thought provoking at the same time, as Paul is conscious of Wildlife Conservations and I know supports charities such as the David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation. His limited edition prints have been produced ‘on paper’ initially, then ‘on canvas’ & finally ‘deluxe canvas’ and have continued to be some of the best selling editions on the market.
He is now most renowned for his imagery of Wildlife set in front of Graffiti Walls, which has created a large following and are a head turner whenever seen in homes and galleries across the country.
Paul remains an accomplished landscape and contemporary artist in his own right and if you browse through our collection, you will see the depth of his artistic skill and the breath of his capability with the paint brush.
**Paul interviewed before his very first gallery one man show 'Menagerie' (2017) in Dublin, Ireland:
The artist grew up in the English city of Leicester and with lush rural landscape around him, it is unsurprising that he would hone his skills painting sheep and farm animals. From childhood he excelled at both painting and the piano and this duality would play out in later life!
Paul eventually trained in classical piano and became a professional musician (along with various other jobs) for a time and it wasn’t until 1985 that he made the decision to stop and to become a professional artist – his main love was always painting.
Even from those early days, he enjoyed painting different subjects such as motor-sport, aeroplanes & landscapes etc but it was the demand for his Animal paintings through commission that continued to sustain him financially.
Paul likes the freedom of painting what he is drawn to, so those commissions paid bills and allowed him to paint the originals that he wanted over time & this ultimately refine his painting skills in landscape and wildlife.
Paul also has a huge overseas collector base and is particularly sort after in North America and Texas, whereas you can imagine is painting and limited edition of cattle are very well received.
Over time, his originals have breaking records for Highstreet art and some have sold in excess of £20,000, an astonishing achievement at the time.
Paul continues to play the keyboard and pianos and has releases albums & yes, he painted his own album covers!
The artist enjoyed living in a canal boat for some years in the 1990s, enjoying the freedom of movement and way of life it offered him; since 2004/05 he resides in Ireland. He continues to make artist appearances in select galleries around the UK, much enjoyed by himself and his adoring fans!
