November 15th 2019 saw the release of Hayley's first ever Giraffe limited edition, a box canvas simply called: 'LoVe' and just in time for Christmas!
Bursting onto the published fine art scene in Spring 2013 with her Debut Collection, Hayley Goodhead continues to offer fresh and exciting limited editions and paintings of animals. Her backdrops are funky and have an element of the surreal about them.
The artist came to promincense for her unique limited editions and original paintings of Zebras, many which often are mutli-coloured striped and rainbowes-que in appearance, really capturing the imagination of you the viewer!
March 2019 saw the release of a pair of limited editions, dubbed the Designer Friends series and included another zebra and 'Gucci Girl' - a merging of fashion house logos and a breathtaking head study of a leopard.
Hayley will often blend elements and styles from the fashion industry with modern branding ideas and the result are hilarious images such as the limited edition: 'Check You Out' - the stripes of a zebra are juxtaposed against the black and white lines of a giant bar code!
For her Debut Collection, five paintings went into print (as signed limited editions) and the publishers Demontfort Fine Art, produced them as both: giclee on paper and on box canvas mediums. I feel images such a 'Bulls Eye' and 'Spot The Dog,' look stunning as box canvas & her art lends itself to the medium.
A typically romantic artist story, Hayley was born in the West Midlands & grew up dreaming of becoming a career artist. Going on to study Fine Art at Gloucester University, UK, she graduated at the turn of the decade & up until this year had been cleverly gathering ideas with part time gallery work and the rest of the week painting.
During her time at University, she received her first paid request, to paint a gun dog and this appeared to the catalyst for Hayley towards concentrating on animal artwork & limited edition prints. From that point on her local gallery began to take notice, exhibited her canvases and her reputation began to gain ground in the area as an artist, until finally being discovered & signed by national publishing house: Demontfort Fine Art.
As you can see, she has already developed a style all of her own - very creative and modern interpretations of wildlife. I draw comparisons to artists Darryn Eggleton and Paul James, who is also a master of witty animal limited editions.
Perhaps the most standout feature of Hayley's art has to be the surrealism of her canvases. She brings a wealth new ideas to the wildlife art genre and we wish her well on her career as a full time artist.
